HLA haplotype homo collection.

Currently, we are planning to cover 44% of Japanese population by collecting 8 kinds of HLA haplotype homo cells by screening 10 thousand donors.

Each island and local colony in Japan, seems to have some HLA types somehow enriched. Searching for different types of HLA using such population bias will make it easier to cllect wide variation of HLA haplotype homo cells.

We are now collaborating with a venture company to create connections with dental clinics all over the Japan. If we can use fast and precise HLA typing methods with lates next generation sequencers and fluorescent cell analyzers, it is not so difficult to find 8 HLA haplotype homo donors (Haplo-chan) in a short time period.
